The Boulder Hockey Club 8U program is designed for players who have participated in a Learn to Skate and preferably, a Learn to Play program that are ready for a higher level of commitment to developing their hockey skills and having fun in a team environment.
Development is focused on the fundamentals of the game such as skating, starting, stopping, stick handling, passing and shooting. The 2019-2020 season will begin in early October and run through early March. Registration will open in June for children born in 2011 or younger.
Detailed information regarding the program and season can be found on the Program Overview Page.
Every year, our mites get the amazing opportunity to skate during the intermission of an Avalanche game at the Pepsi Center as part of Boulder Hockey Association Night.
In addition to our 8U kids skating during the 1st intermission, selected players from our 10U teams participate in a relay race during the 2nd period, while our 12U kids sell programs with a percentage of the proceeds benefiting Boulder Hockey.
Stay tuned for the dates of BHC Association night for the 2019-2020 Season and come out and support Boulder Hockey!
