2020 Elevate Your Game (EYG) Spring Development Program

EYG is excited to announce the 2020 Spring Development Program. The Spring program will focus on pure hockey and athlete development, utilizing both on ice and off ice training sessions. These training sessions will be rigorous and physically demanding. The EYG Spring program will push and challenge players to develop and improve all aspects of their game both on and off the ice.

EYG – Training for Athletes with Dreams: Players that participate in the EYG program will train with some of the top player development coaches in the state. We are committed to give each and every player the following tools and knowledge you will need to prepare for your upcoming tryout season:

  • Gain a competitive advantage – keep your skills sharp and learn additional skills to keep you at your best.
  • Increase Playmaking – creating opportunities for teammates as well as yourself is a difference maker.
  • Improve Decision Making – coaches need players that can make the best decisions at critical times.

Be ready to train, prepare, and Elevate Your Game!!

Players will be grouped with players of like ability to enhance and encourage skill development. If we have a birth year group with large numbers, we will split the group into two sessions and groups will be split based on player ability. EYG reserves the right to move players between sessions or remove players.

1 session per week is designed to develop and challenge the individual skill of each player with repetitive muscle memory patterns such as, dynamic skating and edges, puck skills, shooting, giving and receiving passes.

1 session per week is designed toward developing individual game skills. This session will build on individual skills and add in decision-making processes with a teammate or an opponent. There will be a progression into small area games that incorporate those individual skills and decision-making processes for an increased hockey sense.

Goaltenders- Goaltenders will have one goalie session per week with our EYG Goaltending coach, in addition to their birth year skates. Goalies will be challenged to compete and work on reading plays, rebound control, and to become more hockey aware through competition in small area games and skill drills.

Cost: $575 – Practice Player Only, $699 Tournament Player - includes all on ice and off ice sessions jersey and socks. **Coaches travel expenses will be billed separately.

Tournament: We will look to have a minimum of one team at each birth year and those teams will be placed appropriately at either the Elite/AAA/AA. Each EYG team will attend the Chi Town Shuffle Spring tournament, April 17-19, 2020.

Coaches: Coaches for the EYG Spring Program will be named shortly.
